Explore the Master Recycler YouTube Channel

Did you know that the Master Recycler Program has its own YouTube Channel?

The pandemic interrupted many ways Master Recyclers volunteer in the community. In response, the Master Recycler YouTube channel was born to provide continuing education and an avenue for Master Recyclers to expand their reach through the creation of videos.

On the YouTube channel, you can find videos on recycling, upcoming legislation, food waste prevention, webinars on how to partner with other local organizations, and cleaning with green cleaners. Master Recycler Alaina Labak (Class 64) created a video series on reducing food waste, while Master Recyclers Veverly Campbell and Billie Brock (both Class 76 through North by Northeast Community Center) shared reuse tips and tricks for Earth Day. There is also content in Spanish. Master Recycler Laura Nuñez (Class 73 through Centro Cultural) has a video series on recycling and art.

There are many ways to utilize this resource! Watch videos to refresh yourself on topics from the class, learn creative ways to do your own outreach, or share with family and friends. Some videos you can also incorporate into your own activities, such as school green teams.

You can also contribute to the Master Recycler YouTube channel. Gain hours by creating videos on topics that interest you. Please let me know if that is something that interests you and I can help.

I hope you enjoy exploring the channel!
