Encore Fellows Program at Social Venture Partners Portland invites a Master Recycler to take on a unique role. The position entails assessing the environmental sustainability practices of nonprofit organizations and implementing programs to improve and systematize them. Encore Fellowship, designed to help skilled, experienced professionals, who are concluding their midlife careers, transition into social-purpose work. The Encore Program matches agencies addressing social problems with Fellows, who provide much needed expertise to deliver high impact—capacity-building in contrast to direct service—projects, learn about social purpose work and develop new contacts and resources. During the Fellowship (typically six to 12 months, half to full time for 1000 hours), Fellows earn a stipend of $20,000.
